What Is An ISRC Code?

For tracking and accounting purposes, each of your songs needs its own unique ISRC number. An ISRC (”International Standard Recording Code”) is assigned to each song.

This allows easy tracking of each song, such as keeping track of how many copies of it sold.

Each ISRC is associated with only one song. Each ISRC number is a total of twelve characters in a combination of letters and numbers. For example: US DE3 2551321. Only Songs use ISRC codes. Albums just need a UPC.
